What We Do

Our goal is to transform healthcare by applying operational research to everything we do. We use these principles to improve patient and staff satisfaction, the quality of care provided, and organization effciencies.

How do we do this? Through collaboration with industry leaders across the country, the Center puts our professional research, service, and teaching skills to work for the community.

Examples of previous successes include:

  • National economic policy establishing a more efficient payment structure for vaccinations
  • Business process re-engineering of the County of San Diego's public health nursing program
  • Process and quality improvement training of UCSD, UCI, UCLA, and University of Utah medical school leaders
